Description
Ard Verboon first joined Schneider Electric in 2021 as Vice President for Electrical and Electronics. Later, he assumed the role of Senior Vice President for the Electrical and Electronics and added Secure Power, Industrial Automation and Digital Energy business procurement teams in charge of NPI and lifecycle management. In 2024 he became the group’s Chief Procurement Officer, responsible for managing all direct and indirect spend.​

Ard holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering with a focus on semiconductor design. His career also began the semiconductor industry, as a test engineer, before transitioning into roles in hardware design and subsequently strategic sourcing.​
​
Before joining Schneider Electric, Ard held various positions in R&D, strategic sourcing, product management, and supply chain at Alcatel, Philips, and Avaya. His previous role was Vice President of Supply Chain for Avaya, where he led procurement, supplier quality, SIOP, logistics, transportation, and order management.​

Originally from the Netherlands, Ard moved to Asia in 2006 with his wife with a desire to be in the center of economic activity in Asia. After living in Taiwan, they now call Singapore home, where they reside with their daughters.
