Breakout - The race towards carbon neutrality: Procurement on the frontline

Apr 5, 2022 | 4:30 PM CEST - 5:15 PM CEST

Europe, through the "Green Deal", aims to become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. Greenhouse gas emissions are to be reduced by at least 55% by 2030. These targets will become guidelines for European companies. How does the Procurement function become the spearhead of corporate decarbonisation? How does it contribute not only to the measurement of CO2 emissions, but also to their reduction on all the scopes 1, 2 and 3? Why does decarbonisation require the activation of new sourcing approaches, a review of procurement tools and also of customer-supplier relations? Can we say that decarbonisation is transforming the missions of the Procurement function? These are the questions that 3 CPOs from companies committed to neutrality will answer. The round table is moderated by D. Natacha Tréhan, Professor of Procurement Management at the University of Grenoble Alpes - France . Know more about the Green Deal
