Artificial intelligence, crises, sustainability... What will be the new skills and jobs in the Procurement function?
Description
The Procurement function is at an inflection point: we are entering an unknown and unstable
world. It's impossible to copy-paste the procurement strategies and skills of the past for the
future.
In the next 5 years, according to the World Economic Forum,
- 44% of the coreĀ skillsĀ needed for work will change
- 69 million new jobs will be created driven by new technologies and the green
transition.
1. What will be the new skills required in the Procurement function?
2. What new missions need to be created?
3. Should new functions and responsibilities be created within Procurement
departments to meet future challenges?
4. How can we attract young talent to the Procurement function?
These are the questions we propose to answer during this session. We will bring our vision as
researcher and Master Purchasing Director. CPOs will share their points of view. We'll be
talking to recent graduates about how they see their future jobs in the Procurement function.
