The first step in this process is conducting a spend-based carbon footprint analysis, which involves analyzing the emissions associated with purchasing goods and services. The second step is to conduct a product carbon footprint deep dive, which involves assessing the emissions associated with the production, use, and disposal of specific products. Finally, the product carbon footprint matrix allows procurement teams to assess the carbon emissions associated with different products deriving sustainable purchasing decisions. Through these steps, the session will provide practical insights and tools for achieving net zero goals in procurement.
